Mirtha Legrand, Guest Star

During its second edition, FIC.UBA will pay tribute to the iconic figure of Argentine cinema's golden era, actress and hostess Mirtha Legrand. She played a pivotal role in Argentine cultural history and was a favourite star of prominent directors in Argentine industrial cinema, including Mugica, Amadori, Christensen, Saslavsky, Klimovsky, Schlieper, Demare, and Tinayre.

Héctor Olivera to be celebrated at FIC.UBA for 50 years of «Rebellion in Patagonia»

Argentine director, screenwriter and producer Héctor Olivera will be honoured at the second edition of FIC.UBA, which will celebrate 50 years of Rebellion in Patagonia (1974). This feature film starring Héctor Alterio, Federico Luppi, Pepe Soriano and Luis Brandoni -who will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award- will be screened to pay tribute to one of the masters of Argentine cinema.

Marjane Satrapi, Special Guest at FIC.UBA

The French-Iranian director, scriptwriter, painter and cartoonist will be a guest of honour at the second edition of FIC.UBA. Born in Iran, on the shores of the Caspian Sea, and a strong advocate for human rights, the director of the multi-award-winning Persepolis (2007) will be honoured for her prolific career and a retrospective of her filmography will be held.
