Alliance between FIC.UBA and the Málaga and Bogotá Film Festivals

Thanks to the alliance with the Malaga Film Festival (MAFIZ) and the Bogota International Film Festival (BIFF), FIC.UBA will offer the winners of the UBA Short Film Competition special opportunities for new talents in Spain and Colombia.

The Best Short Film of the competition will receive a prize of ARS $1,500,000 and a spot in the MÁLAGA TALENT Campus Training Program at the MAFIZ industry market. The objective of this program is to help the new generation of filmmakers develop creative connections and professional relationships within the audiovisual world. The award includes airfare, lodging, and meals.

Additionally, in partnership with BIFF—and as a new feature in this second edition of the competition—FIC.UBA will present the Best Director Award, which includes a trip to Colombia to participate in the BIFF BANG program for young talents at the 2025 edition. This BIFF program, in collaboration with the Master in Audiovisual Creation and the Centro Ático of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, features activities such as workshops, masterclasses, visits, and exhibitions. In this case, the Colombian festival will cover the winner's lodging and accreditation, while FIC.UBA will cover air travel expenses and insurance.
