Daniel Burman initiates the film seminar
The series of talks with filmmakers began this morning with the director of El abrazo partido (2004) along with Federico Godfrid and Marina Malchiodi in the Aula Magna of Pabellón III of Ciudad Universitaria

In the first of the meetings with directors, scriptwriters, actors and producers organized by FIC.UBA at FADU, Daniel Burman spoke about his experience in the audiovisual field and advised the audience present, mostly students, on how to approach projects and materialize the ideas that arise day after day.
"You have to feel deeply frustrated and sad for not telling the story you want. If you have that feeling about something you need to tell, that has enough energy to break through all the walls you are going to have to go through to grow", said the director of El nido vacío (2008) and Transmitzvah (2024), recently released in theaters across the country.
About his beginning in cinema and the choices that led him to become a filmmaker, Burman maintained that "the entrance to the vocation is like a labyrinth with infinite doors; it is irrelevant which one you enter through. On that path you get lost and found, and at some point you say 'I stay here, in this part of the labyrinth. Here I am and here I exist'". Furthermore, he spoke about the motivations that allow him to carry out a project: "When you make a film, you don't think about how many followers you are going to gain or who is going to hate you, you do it because you absolutely need to tell a story".
The Seminar will continue tomorrow at 4 p.m., in Aula 301 on the third floor of FADU, with the presence of Luis Ortega, director of El Jockey (2024), a film chosen as an Argentine candidate to participate in the next Oscars Awards.
