Demián Rugna and Jorge Pinarello, face to face with the audience

In a unique opportunity for genre film fans, filmmaker Demián Rugna will be part of the FICUBA Film Seminar. The director of When Evil Lurks (2023) will be accompanied by Jorge Pinarello, creator of the YouTube channel Te lo resumo así nomás and director and screenwriter of the film Algo que pasó en Año Nuevo (2022), which is part of the program of the Festival.

With free registration by clicking on this link, the meeting will take place today at 6 p.m. in the Aula Magna of Pabellón III of Ciudad Universitaria, headquarters of the Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo (FADU), with the moderation of Santiago Podesta.

Rugna will also present the Terror a Cielo Abierto series, where a large part of his filmography can be seen on the open-air screen of FADU. The director, who today is synonymous in the world with horror cinema, made numerous short films before his debut feature, The Last Gateway, in 2007. In addition to the four films that are part of the section, Rugna worked alongside Guillermo Del Toro in the remake of Aterrados and participated in the Satanic Hispanics anthology

Jorge Pinarello is an actor, teacher, screenwriter and editor. He is also the creator of the YouTube channel Te lo resumo así nomás, which has almost 7 million subscribers. In 2018 he premiered the web series La obra de mi vida and won the Martín Fierro Digital for Best Youtuber. In 2022 he wrote and directed his debut feature, Algo que pasó en Año Nuevo, which can be seen today at 3 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the FADU.
