Documentary about C. Tangana will have its Argentine Premiere at FIC.UBA
The film Esta ambición desmedida, directed by Little Spain, which portrays the Spanish artist's tour with his acclaimed album El Madrileño, will be one of the centerpieces of the second edition of the FIC.UBA. In addition, the founders of the production company will visit the Festival and will give one of the talks at the seminar that will be held from October 16 to 21.
Premiered at the San Sebastián International Film Festival, selected as the opening film of the last Guadalajara International Film Festival and nominated for the 2024 Goya Awards, Esta ambición desmedida shows the creative process behind C. Tangana's album, his tour and the intimacies of his life. The documentary covers the launch of his latest album until the end of the tour "Sin cantar ni afinar", which brought him to Argentina in 2022.
"We were very interested in the character himself, his world and his vision. If you review his career, you will realize that he always repeats a pattern and the only thing that changes is the "packaging", that is, in one he was a 16-year-old rapper, in another it is an idol, then the "madrileño"... In the end what mutates is the aesthetics, but the idea of transgression, of provocation, is very similar", stated the directors Santos Bacana, Cris Trenas and Rogelio Gonzalez during the premiere of the documentary. In addition to presenting the film, Little Spain will be part of a new edition of the FIC.UBA seminars.
Created in 2020 by Antón Álvarez, Santos Bacana, Cris Trenas and María Rubio, Little Spain is the audiovisual production company that was in charge of all the El Madrileño video clips. During the last years, it was also the company responsible for the videos of Nathy Peluso or The Parrots and advertising for different brands around the world such as Maserati, Asics, Nike and Netflix. Recognized for their innovative style and way of working in the audiovisual industry, the members define it as an unconventional company that, far from traditional roles, proposes a collaborative work environment where it is produced in a very creative way and creates from production itself.
