Fuck You! El último show at the outdoors screen
Every screening of Fuck You! El último show is a historic event. The performances of the documentary about the last Sumo concert at the Obras Sanitarias stadium are far from being conventional exhibitions: they are experienced as a ritual, as a journey through time, as a rock show. The special screening at the FIC.UBA, which will be on Tuesday the 22nd at 8 p.m. on the outdoors screen of FADU with free admission, will not be the exception.
Filmed by documentary filmmaker José Luis García at the beginning of his audiovisual career, the film follows the members of the iconic Argentine band in one of the last concerts before the death of their leader and singer Luca Prodan. The found footage not only contains the group's iconic songs but also what happened in the dressing rooms, showing the band like never seen before, an intimate and familiar one.
José Luis García is an audiovisual producer and director of photography for music videos (such as La vida, by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs) and advertising campaigns (such as La llama que llama by Telecom). In his career he directed shorts and feature films, such as Cándido López, los campos de batalla (2005) and La chica del sur (2012).
