Héctor Olivera will present «La noche de los lápices»

On Monday, October 21 at 6:00 p.m. at the Centro Cultural San Martín, another historic day will be experienced for the FIC.UBA. In the Antin room, with free admission, the filmmaker and Doctor Honoris Causa of the UBA Héctor Olivera will present the emblematic La noche de los lápices, 38 years after its release.

"In the decades that have passed, many films have been made referring to repression and its consequences, but I believe that none surpasses ours, a work moving to the point of tears. And it will surely continue to be so", Olivera stated in his autobiography. This Monday's screening will be a unique opportunity to revive this classic of Argentine cinema on the big screen, with the presence of its director.

Acclaimed by the public and critics, La noche de los lápices narrates the kidnapping, torture and murder of seven students from La Plata, in the first months of the last Military Dictatorship, as a result of their protests over the increase in the student ticket.
