Argentine premiere of the restored film

Special screening of «Rosaura a las 10»

As part of the tribute to the Argentina Sono Film production company, the film directed by Mario Soffici in 1958 and based on the novel by Marco Denevi, which was recently restored and presented in the prestigious Cannes Classics section of the last year, will be screened for the first time in the country.
Special screening of «Rosaura a las 10»

The screening will be next Tuesday, October 22 at 7 p.m., in Sala 1 of the Cine Gaumont, and will be presented by Carlos Morelli, film critic, programmer and host of the classic television series Función privada.

Rosaura a las 10 follows the story of Camilo Canegato -played by Juan Verdaguer-, a shy and imaginative man. In love with a woman, he tries to get her attention by inventing a romance with another, imaginary one. But the latter appears one day, and the situation changes in such a way that it will be difficult to discriminate truth from fantasy.

As part of the work to enhance the Argentina Sono Film catalogue, the film was restored in 4K by Cubic Restoration in cooperation with Sociedad por el Patrimonio Audiovisual, with support from the Cannes Festival and the Lumiere Festival in Lyon, coordinated by Fernando Madedo and supervised by the president of Argentina Sono Film, Luis Alberto Scalella. The restoration was carried out respecting its original AlexScope format, 2.35 aspect ratio, from the original 35mm negatives preserved in the Argentine Sono Film Archive, owner of the film.
