Mava, a 20-year-old girl, recounts the true story of her best friend María Soledad Morales' murder in Catamarca, northwestern Argentina. This unsolved crime sparks growing public outrage in response to government injustice. However, the film also tells the story of Mava and her teacher, Martha Pelloni, as they join forces to challenge entrenched social and political structures.
Héctor Olivera
Héctor Olivera is an Argentine director, screenwriter and producer. He directed the feature films La noche de los lápices, El caso María Soledad and Ay, Juancito, among many others. He also directed television series such as Nueve lunas and De poeta y de loco.
