Antonio is a young man with Down syndrome who lives in a room at his local club, where he also manages the snack bar, always with a smile. However, his routine is abruptly disrupted by a series of dramatic events: he not only inherits a fortune but also suddenly loses his mother and encounters a lawyer who seeks to exploit the situation. It may seem unreasonable to believe that tenderness has no place in cinema—at least the kind of tenderness that might be considered outdated, tied to solidarity and empathy in extreme circumstances. Twinned is built upon these gestures, making it a welcome exception.
