Marjane is an 8-year-old Iranian girl who dreams of becoming a prophet to save the world. Loved by her parents and adored by her grandmother, Marjane closely follows the events leading to the fall of the Shah and his brutal regime, which gives way to an Islamic Republic that controls how people dress and act. Forced to wear a veil, Marjane is inspired to become a revolutionary.
Marjane Satrapi
Marjane Satrapi is a director and writer who grew up in Tehran, Iran. In 1997, she moved to Paris and, after years of struggle, published Persepolis in 2000, a critically acclaimed graphic novel that has been translated into more than ninety languages. She also published the books Embroideries and Chicken with Plums and has written several children's books. Her animated film adaptations of her own works have achieved international success.

Vincent Paronnaud
Vincent Paronnaud is a French cartoonist, screenwriter and filmmaker. He directed short and feature films and worked on collective works. His stage name is Winshluss.
