Tango music is part of the cultural heritage of Buenos Aires and humanity, and the APUBA Tango Orchestra is part of this tradition. It originated as a union project, made up of both teaching and non-teaching staff at the University. In this way, the University of Buenos Aires becomes a space for artistic development outside of working hours. Members of the university community with musical interests come together in a collective activity that goes beyond their professional roles. The Orchestra, while serving as a space for meeting and recreation, evolves into a form of art, cultural dissemination, and a life pursuit. It represents another facet of what makes National Public Education possible.
